The American University Chamber Singers, under the direction of Daniel Abraham, will present the North American premiere of my Requiem featured in their concert, “The Displaced”, on April 11, 2026. The concert, which also features choral music by composers such as Caroline Shaw, Saunder Choi, and Carlos Cordero, will take place at the Katzen Arts Center in Washington DC.

The organizers write in their presentation: “As a program of social action and activism, the AU Department of Performing Arts is partnering with HIAS and Ayuda to help increase awareness and understanding of the work underway to support displaced populations locally, nationally, and internationally.”

The composition celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year. It was premiered on November 5, 2016, and has subsequently been presented repeatedly in Gothenburg, Sweden, including the latest performance at the Göteborg International Organ Festival in 2024.
